Compact Capacitor

MKK400-D-5-02 is a three-phase film capacitor from the EPCOS/TDK PhaseCap® Compact series, designed for power factor correction (PFC) in industrial and commercial electrical systems.

It is rated for 5 kvar output at 400 V AC (6 kvar at 60 Hz), with a delta (D) connection. The capacitor features self-healing metallized polypropylene film technology, concentric winding, and semi-dry biodegradable resin impregnation for enhanced reliability and longevity. 

It is housed in a compact extruded aluminum can with a threaded M12 bolt for mounting, suitable for indoor installation in any position. The device is maintenance-free, comes with a ceramic discharge module and overpressure disconnector for safety, and complies with IEC 60831-1/2 and UL 810 standards. 

Typical applications include capacitor banks, automatic PFC equipment, and filter circuits for improved energy efficiency and power quality.
