Description:

Janitza UMG 96 S (300 V version) is a universal digital measuring instrument for low-voltage switchgear, designed for the measurement and monitoring of electrical parameters in three-phase systems with a neutral conductor.

Key Features:

  • Voltage Measurement:

    • Direct measurement up to 300 V AC (L-N), 520 V AC (L-L), 50/60 Hz

    • Overvoltage category: 300 V CAT III, 600 V CAT II

  • Current Measurement:

    • Via external current transformers (../5A or ../1A)

  • Measurement Functions:

    • Measures and displays voltage, current, active power (kW), reactive power (kVar), apparent power (kVA), frequency, power factor (cos φ), and energy (kWh, kVarh)

    • Four-quadrant measurement (import/export)

  • Accuracy:

    • Voltage, current: ±0.5%

    • Active energy: Class 1 (../5A), Class 2 (../1A)

    • Reactive energy: Class 1 (../5A), Class 2 (../1A)

  • Display:

    • LCD, programmable, shows all measured values

  • Sampling Rate:

    • 2.5 kHz at 50 Hz, 3.0 kHz at 60 Hz (per channel)

  • Auxiliary Power:

    • Taken from the measured voltage (L-N); operating range 85–300 V AC (L-N)

  • Mounting:

    • Front panel installation, 96 × 96 mm (cut-out 92 × 92 mm)

  • Protection:

    • Front: IP50, Rear: IP20

  • Operating Temperature:

    • -10°C to +55°C

  • Dimensions:

    • 96 × 96 × 49 mm, weight approx. 250 g

  • Interfaces:

    • RS485 (Modbus RTU), 1 digital output (pulse or alarm)

  • Applications:

    • Energy monitoring, load analysis, and power quality monitoring in low-voltage distribution boards

    • Suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors

Note:
The UMG 96 S (300 V) version is suitable for direct connection in standard low-voltage networks and supports full four-quadrant measurement for import/export energy.
